Shad told me a month or so ago about his work Christmas party. The company he works for always takes the employees and their partners out to a very nice restaurant as the party. I asked Shad what the dress code would be. He said nice. I asked, nice like church or nicer? He said the restaurant describes itself as the "only authentic french restaurant in Raleigh." Okay, so nicer. I knew I would need something new to wear. I asked my friend Brittany to help me. She is such a cute dresser and can easily put outfits together. I don't have the slightest clue how to do any of that. We found something real fast one Saturday at the mall at such a great price! Then, I had to figure out something to do with my hair. I knew that if I wore it down, like normal, I would end up pulling it back in a lose ponytail while I ate, because I can't stand it falling in my face while I eat/look down. I looked on youtube for tutorials on some messy up dos. I sent some to my friend Lauren to get her opinion and to see if she could do it for me. She agreed and came over the day of the event to fix my hair. When every thing was put together I looked great. I looked exactly like what I was going for, not too dressy (like the prom) but nicer then church.

The restaurant was okay. They had some very french accented guys come out to tell us about the french wine they were paring with our courses. I mean these guys's accents could not have been real. They must have been playing it up for the American's to get a "french feel." We of course didn't drink the wine, which got the guy sitting next me (and a few others) discussing with me why not. Of course my answer was "I'm Mormon we don't drink." Which proceeded with some Mormon questions. One of which was by the wife "I knew a couple of Mormon families when I was growing up. They both had trampolines. Is that a Mormon thing?" Really?
I had to get a picture of my main course. It is a bad picture because I was trying to be discreet. But I got steak (filet mignon i think) over mashed potatoes and apples. But it had 5 pieces of asparagus laid around it to look like a hand. It was very silly looking.

I love the hair too!
Thanks ladies. It took no time at all. Lauren did a great job!
Next Sunday I dare you (and Lauren...if you must) to do your hair like that again.
That trampoline story is hilarious.
